Chequamegon Bay (Ashland, WI) is a good lake this time of year. My dad is up there right now and has sent me pics of some really good size fish.

Thats my thoughts too!! but i do one day want to go up north and catch some of those fish, but for raw power nothing like catching a Tn river or reservoir small mouth

Like Sturgeon Bay / Door County area a lot. Headed up Friday with friends for a week as we have for the last 5 years. Always have a good time and find fish, but I have yet to break 5 lbs confirmed on the scale. Maybe this year. Will have fun trying regardless.

I’ll be up there in 2 weeks. Hopefully the fish are still around!

Heading up on Monday, can't wait. I can taste the Prime Rib sandwich at Graystone already.

I should be up there as well pending the outcome of some family health issues. We killed them last year with 1 over 6 and multiple over 5.

Where I fish I catch a lot of 4lb smallies but have a hard time getting over that. These fish own me, I can't imagine 6 lb smallies. The fight must be awesome.
