Need some help from the wizards

Stay with me here. I bought a 2004 Stratos with a 98 E-Rude 225 that was blown. Apparently it came off a Javelin that they swapped the controls from as well.

Now I have a 96 200 that has a fresh powerhead that I am pulling off my old boat. Will it bolt and wire right up? Are the wiring harnesses the same? The boat currently has a tach with the 4 warning lights built in. Will that work with my motor, I honestly do not know if they worked on the 98.

    Any insight here would help.

You're good to go, Bolt on hook up the wires, prime the fuel and light it up. enjoy. Everything is the same.

Never had a multi function tach before. Will all of those features work?

Yep instead of waiting to hear a buzzer and trying to decode what alarm you are getting the LED's will tell you what the malfunction is.
