    Sabre Touchpad fail....?

I've had my 2018 Basscat Sabre for 13 months. Like the boat but I just replaced my third touchpad (the round one, dealer replaced the first two, Basscat service had sent one last spring). Drove home in short but heavy rain yesterday and about three hours later neighbor calls to tell me boat horn has been going off for about 30 minutes, just like before. Disconnected power to horn but it's too late, won't sound anymore, shows open between horn +/- terminals. (installed a disconnect on starting battery too).

Has anybody replaced the touch pad with mechanical switches? Can wiring diagrams be had for these?

    Solutions?

Also, the backing for the keypad has 2 parts, one is a small area and I didn't take that part off a couple of times. I went through a few pretty quickly. The last one I changed I cleaned the area real good with alcohol and slowly worked the pad on applying pressure from top to bottom making sure it stuck good without air gaps. That pad lasted 5 years until I sold it.
