    New Look!

I had an extra cowling and bought a used lower cowling to experiment with something I thought would look good. Got it all installed today and really like the look with the color of my boat. No idea how well my amateur paint job will hold up and it me a nightmare to keep clean but who cares.

I like it. On a side note what do you use to hold the covers on your Lowrance? Thanks!

I bought a pack of Velcro straps on Amazon. I think for about $10, I got 4 sizes ranging from 8-24" and 3-4 of each side.

Looks Good!!! Reminds me of back in the 50's and you could get a Merc in White, Black, Red and Green!!! Actually the Black wasn't very popular until around the 60's with the big inline 6's...seems after the Black Max everything went Black!

My very first boat and motor was early 80's. My uncle gave me a badly leaking aluminum 14x36 and my grandfather gave me 2 merc 20hp's that were very old. One was white with green band and the other was white and red. We used both to get 1 running. There was no neutral so sit down before pull starting. I think I ran that combo for 1-2 years when I was 15-16 years old.

Ive seen a bunch like that down in the keys. They usually add a little of the boat color in like on the checkered flag spots or some of the writing

My boat is white, black with silver/grey pinstripe and glitter so made it pretty easy. You cant see in the pic, but the big 250 Racing decal and smaller 250xs decals are outlined in grey.
