    Trophy plus on 84 Mariner 150 ???

Hi guys. I bought a trophy plus for my old mariner 150. It does not seem to match up with the lower unit.. is it ok if the prop hub diameter is a little smaller than the lower unit gear case diameter?
I tried attaching pictures on my phone but I don't know it if worked..
    Motor serial number: 6443819
    Prop sn: 48-825942-25

    Should work just fine.

I used to run 28" Chopper props on 200 hp Mercs. The Chopper is a solid hub prop with exhaust gases flowing over the hub. Will likely cavitate on Holeshot but as RPMs build up the bubbles are forced against the hub and prop will bite then.

The Trophy has a small diameter hub 4.25" and your gear case is 4.75" so you may need a cav ring to keep it from blowing out but I run all solid plugs and no ring in a trophy and don't have a problem

Its supposed to be that way. Its an over/thru hub design.
