Purchased a used boat and once I got it out the motor wouldn’t crank up after running and sitting for a while. It would eventually fire up and would run fine. Then we would stop again and sit then it wouldn’t crank again for a while. I Just had motor completely rebuilt and still having the same issue. The mechanic said on these motors (early 2000s I guess) there was a flaw or something with the overheat sensor? That I can install a toggle switch and be able to turn off the sensor and the motor will fire up and then turn it back on, has anyone ever heard of this?
