    195 spare tire location?

Looking at an 18 but not liking the spare tire and carrier arrangement. I believe this will snag most ramps I know of. Can anyone shed some brighter light on what’s good about the spare tire mounted low mid ship?

I have not rubbed mine at all but others have had a different experience. It may be related to how high your tow hitch is.

Ive rubbed the bottom of mine once, but I have had to submerge the tire to launch the boat a few times, which actually has me worried. Im pretty sure getting the spare tire wet is not good, but I may be wrong. Can anyone shed light on this? If so, i am thinking of buying a mount and mount the spare on the side of the trailer. Looking at options now.

I do not see how getting the tire wet would be a problem. I still go fishing if it is raining.
