Side Imaging Waypoints

I am not sure why, but I am unable to activate my cursor on the side imaging on my Helix 10 G3N MSI+
I am new to Humminbird so I may be missing something really obvious.
When I have side imaging as the entire screen, all I should have to do is use the four way cursor to freeze the screen right?

Yes, just push the 4-way button to pause the scrolling and move the curser with the 4-way button to where you want it.

That's what I thought.
When I push the 4-way button it does not pause the scrolling.
Is there a setting I need to have or should it do that regardless of settings.

No there is no setting that turns that function on and off.
Does the 4-way button move menu selections down the list when you push the Menu button?
Does the other unit work properly?

Both units work properly and the four button does function properly.
If I remember correctly it worked correctly once but last time I was out I was unable to freeze the screen.
Could it be a software issue? Maybe I need an update?

If you are on a split screen make sure that the SI is the highlighted/active screen. Or try it on full SI screen and see what happens.

Yeah I am trying on full SI screen.
I'm going out again this weekend so I'm going to see if it's working now for some reason.
Last time I was out I had no luck

Mine did that AFTER I installed the current update. I went back to the previous software version, then reinstalled the new version again... didn't have any problems with it after that. Only trip it has ever done that.
