River rockfish season opener. Only saw one other boat in 5 hours. (That's the best part!) Still a little cold down south at 67.4° but doable. Not warm enough for reds or specs yet. The brim fishing will be taking a back seat.

I've got tuna and elk in the freezer. These got cubed up and go in the fryer tonight.

Mike, how far up in the River will the Specs and Reds get?

The reds have been caught in mass near the shit plant in DC during dry summers when the saltwater moved up river but the norm is Colonial Beach and below. Specs are almost to the mouth.
