    Powell 765 SBR and 775

Trying to fit these 2 rods in my lineup.
Currently use the following with straight fluoro:
    Endurance 724c HEF Jigs,
    Max 3D 714 CEF T-Rig Plastics
    Max 3D 734 Worms 1/4-3/8 oz
6th sense 734 Heavy Swim Jigs

Didn't feel the need to include the CB rods

I'm thinking rigging the 775 for plastics with braid w 3/4oz and heavier for around grass but not sure about the 765 SBR. Don't throw any heavy swimbaits just 3.8 - 4.3 paddle tail swimbaits on a 723 MH.

Any suggestions or changing up the current line up.

    Thanks!!

The 765cb is a versatile rod, chaterbaits, River2sea S-waver 168, 1/2oz+ cranks and spinnerbaits, swimjigs, buzzbaits, Whopper Plopper, lipless and even pitching Senko's. One of my favorite in the Powell line up

Is there a difference between a 765cb and 765 SBR Mag Med Hvy? I have the 765 SBR.

The 765SBR is pretty versatile. Can be a lightweight pitching rod. I use it as a deep water jig and t-rig rod right now. Just saw a vid by W. Strader and he uses it for skipping chatterbaits and jigs around docks. The 3oz max rating puzzles me. I'd never throw that heavy on that rod. It's got a sort of moderate taper but I still use it for bottom bouncers. The 775 is my all-around pitching rod and I like it. I use the 724 as my frog rod. All those other techniques listed can be fished with the 734, another versatile rod.

Thanks! I currently use the Inferno 725 Mag as my frog rod but I'm going to give the 724 a try. Maybe the 765 to pitch jigs and the 775 pitch t-rigs or vice versa.

Nope, same rod, I asked Keith about it when the CB was changed to SBR.

Thanks Jerry! Line weight is 15- 20. Would 15lb fluro be ok being the minimum or suggest at least 17 or 18?

I use 15lb fluro and for Plopper and buzz I use 50lb braid. Mine are the older Max models so you might have the 3-D or newer Endurance so they may be a different action rod than mine.

You'd be most efficient with the same rod for both. Either of the two. I always have two, identical flipping outfits. I've also tried the 795 and think it's just a little unbalanced but a nice rod.
