Liberal here. Eagle Scout. Started my troop with my best friend and his dad as our troop leader. St. Paul Methodist in Louisville. Troop 40. By the time I left we had 4 or 5 patrols each with 8 kids or so. It was a huge part of my life back then. I would have hated it if we had to have girls in our troop. I probably wouldn’t have continued scouting. I don’t see it as a good thing. Can’t buy the pc thing some of you guys like to blame the end of the world on but for whatever reason they are doing it, I don’t like it. I don’t see much good coming from it.
I’m all for girls having the same opportunities as the boys. Maybe separate boys and girls troops would be ok but not together in the same troop. Maybe that’s how they’re doing it... IDK
