Right running light not working, but brake and turn signal does work

My 5 flat trailer connection fell out of the SUV harness while traveling. It was ruined as it dragged on the road for a 100 miles.

I replaced the wiring harness and ensured I had tight connections. The problem is the right running light does not work. However the right turn signal and brake lights do work.

So what would cause the right turn signal and brake light to work but not the headlight/running light? BTW, the left light works perfectly - running lights. Brake lights and turn signals.

I replaced the brown connections twice. The crimps are solid. I followed the right brown wire through the trailer and all connections look good.

All lights worked before the harness was damaged. Nothing like a wiring guide issue to get the summer season started!

The right side marker next to the right tail tail light does not work.

All other side markers on the right side moving toward the bow do work.

BtW, I think I found the problem on why the plug fell out. I purchased a Reese 7 to 5 flat adapter with LED lamp out 3 years ago. The female holes seems to have enlarged with use and the 5 flat harness fits quite loosely. Doesn't explain the running light issue though.

Pull the bad marker out and maybe the one in front of it. Wire has probably come loose from one or the other.

its an LED. All the diodes light up when the brakes and turn signal are on. So I don't think it is the LED lamp. Thanks.

Found the problem. Thanks to CatFan for pointing me in the right direction. Just past the side marker in front of the trailer tire, the brown wire had a rubbing problem where exposed bare wire was touching the frame. Fixed that and everything works.

Problem had nothing to do with changing the wiring harness, Thanks all!
