I have a 2002 75 hp Elpto serial OT 463935
Just purchased a used pontoon over the winter so i did not get to test in water , seen only running on muffs .
I have a few questions about how the motor ran on its first week end out .
This is how it went.
First started ok had to give it 5 min to warm up to stay running .
Drove from the dock to the house about 15 min run . Noticed the Tachometer was way off 6 to 7 k rpm
Then eratic from 4 to 5 k rpm then seemed to smooth out.
But motor seamed to have stumble if moved to wot.
IT Smoked alot at idle and seems to shake alot even at higher speeds
The person i bought it from said to runn it and get fresh gas so i did .
What should i be looking at carbs or ignition , seems it could run better but not sure .
Took out the next day and ran same but got harder to start.
Any help would be appreciated .
