    Water Pressure Question

Have an 05 ETEC 250 E250DPLSOC. Replaced the impeller last fall due to running into some sand. I looked at the chart at at 5800RPM I should be at 16-18 PSI. Last night running across the lake I was at 22-24 PSI. Idle I'm at 6-8 or so. Is there anything bad about having higher water pressure?

I would have to say no, sounds like your new impeller is doing it's job.

Your gauge could be reading a bit high, but as long as you allow for it, you will be fine.

This assumes that your motor has the proper 5001595 water pump kit in it and not the wrong one, such as the 5001594 which could increase the pressure.
