    Keel Protector

Anyone with a Ranger aluminum boat have a keel protector installed? How is it holding up? Any issues?

We have had customers install KeelGuards on the Ranger RT198P and have had great results.

What about a MegaWare on a RT 188 with its ribbed keel?

Whats the difference in vexus paint over ranger, xpress, or even tracker paint?

Its all in the prep. They stick to bare aluminum, painted hulls and fiberglass. That same type adhesive is what holds the trim on your truck, (which has the hardcase paint like a ranger or xpress has too.)

Do y'all find the keel protector worth it for an aluminum boat? Any downsides? Looking at putting one on an Xpress X19.

I just had one installed on my x19. Wouldnt be without one. At least itll save the keel paint when i park on the ramp.

I installed a Gator on my new Tracker 195. This is the 3rd boat I have used the gator on and it works very well when parking on the bank. The hull prep takes a little time but well worth it. Once stuck, There is no moving.

My X19 has had the same one on for at least 7 years now. Absolutely no issues with it. It was on the boat when I bought it 3 years ago.
