Hi Everyone. We are down at Lake Eufaula for a family reunion this week. Have several families and kids/teenagers who don't fish much but enjoy it. Most don't cast well enough so looking to take them out to use live bait (minnows and/or worms) for either catfish or crappie. Or I was also thinking about the possibility of going after hybrids/white bass and catching shad/buying minnows to use for bait. I have a boat that will hold 5-6 people, so was thinking of just putting on sinkers and fishing on the bottom. Any recommendations on places to go on the lake that are likely to hold fish (including just general areas on the lake to scout around and try for these types of fish)? We are staying just south of Cool Branch. I have been trying to research places on the lake on-line where shad/hybrids are likely to be or structure/bridge pilings/etc for crappie but not finding much info. Thank you very much for your thoughts and for sharing.
