Thanks. I would have taken them to the game, but my dad broke his ankle a month or so ago and isn't 100% yet.

One win away from Omaha! This baseball season is getting expensive. How about that performance from Rocker the Vanderbilt freshman. Wow.

Wow! What a storybook way for the MSU seniors to finish their time at Dudy Noble... Outstanding start for Plumlee, with Liebelt and Gordon mopping up. In their final at-bats; a base knock for the all-time SEC hits leader, Jake Mangum, and then (I just had a feeling when he stepped up)... MacNamee goes yard!

That's gotta be the best home-field environment in college baseball.

Good luck to those seniors; Marshall Gilbert, Cole Gordon, Jared Liebelt, Elijah MacNamee, Jake Mangum and Peyton Plumlee, and to the rest of the Bulldogs players, coaches and staff in Omaha!

Win or lose they are as good a complete team as we have ever had! They do it all pretty dam good! Being a State fan I am happy for me but I am mostly happy for these boys. Outstanding!

Yep it was a great ending to their Dudy Noble careers and I don't think you could write a better script. I regret not going back Sunday night, but with the game pushed back Saturday I just didn't to get home at 1:15 two nights in a row. I think this is the most complete team we have had too. I also think that Vanderbilt, Arkansas, and State are the best 3 teams in the country.

Talked to my youngest brother last night... He still lives in the town where we grew up, about 50 miles east of Omaha (we used to make the CWS at Rosenblatt pretty much every year).

He said the current forecast for the weekend up there doesn't look good... Rain/thunderstorms.

It's just like here, though, between now and then it could change 10 times.

I was in total shock after last nights game. I started to turn the tv off after the 8th, but I decided to get a bowl of ice cream and finish the game. Then I could go sulk for a bit. Jake hits a double to lead off. Hmm, things could get interesting...... and it did.
