My son ended up working, I almost took my boat with me to my hometown since the KDWPT showed all ramps were usable, but they still had a bunch blocked, I stopped on my way home Sat. and shore fished for an hour or so and blanked, the boat and jet ski traffic had the lake rocking and rolling so I am glad I just left the boat at home

It might not have been very fun with all the boats. To bad your son had to work though.

Do you have white pickup? I saw someone mowing your dad's place on highway this weekend with white pickup and thought it might be you.

Looks like the water level is dropping at a good rate, more than a couple ramps open ??

I stopped by the Otoe area on my way home Sat. afternoon, the Otoe ramp is open-but dock not usable, bathrooms are open, the east ramp by the dam still closed, don't know about the west ramp very windy so the water looked a little stained, must have had a heck of a rain storm sometime, all the fields east of Plainville on hwy. 18 had standing water and the steams were all running water

Almost a repeat of the last time.
    20190825_151319.jpg
We caught 10 keepers on Sat. with almost 12#'s in a four fish limit. Had 9 keepers and 13.21#'s on Sunday in four. Winners on Sat had almost 18#'s in four fish. Not sure the winning weight on Sunday.
The white perch population has exploded. They were biting on every cast almost.

Maybe. With the water going down the fish were more off the bank. I have never fished it from the bank, so not sure where you could even start.

Yeah, it was not a pretty sight around the lake. Dead vegetation for 6-8 feet up from the waters edge.

I read this morning they are closing ramps and campgrounds because of rising water levels, possible 6' rise again

According the the Corp of Engineers 3 day forecast, it looks like it's supposed to stabilize at around 6 feet above multipurpose pool.

I took the the back road from Luray to Bunker Hill Friday afternoon, Saline river is running bank full, I never knew how hilly the terrain is out there !! as far as you can see both sides of the road nothing but pastures and cattle, I would hate to have break down out there
