According to this, under option 12. Libraries, you can check it out about 2.5 hours from where you live. Cheapest I've found is $150 on eBay.

This is the best book a fisherman can ever read!!
If you can keep an open mind and are willing to make drastic changes in your angling tactics, this book will make you a much better fisherman along with reducing your tackle selection.
Dr. Jones was a scientist at Berkeley labs for years and his detailed lab tests dispell allot of myths about color, sound, and scent/attractants. I read thru mine every couple years and learn something each time. If your looking for lots of pictures and truley believe that realistic colors on a frog are necessary, this book is not for you.
Once you read it, you'll understand why publication was shut down as it's content is devastating to the tackle industry.
*If you can't afford the current pricing see if your local library has it.

I checked it out from the library. My local library didn't have it but they were able to borrow from another library in the state. Took a week or so to get it. Great read for a different view on topics you might have always questioned.

I paid the price, and it's invaluable.

I gotta start looking around for this book. I don't find myself in bookstores very often, but i'll be on the lookout for this.

< 5 minutes in my local library had them borrowing it from one of their sharing partners. No charge and they will email me when it arrives.

    Thanks for the tip Mike!

I just did an online chat session with my library and same result. On my phone sitting in my truck at a job site. Two weeks and a phone call it should be at my local branch.

Thanks for the heads up on the book!

Scanning/saving copyrighted publications is illegal. Putting that you have done it and then offering it to the general public is beyond stupid. Social media just makes it so easy to snuff out the dumb ones.

It is illegal until it is out of copyright, placed into the public domain by the author or 70 years after the author's death. That being said I believe it is only a civil penalty if the owner of the copyright pursues the case.

Bought a copy many years ago for 19.95 and was sent 2 by mistake. Put the other on Ebay a few years ago and was shocked at what I got for it. Definitely recommended reading but I would never pay that much for it.
