Did you check out this thread? It has a lot of information. It's a sticky at the top of the Phoenix forum. I have a 721 and love it.

If money is no object, I’d get the 921. But if money is a consideration, tough to beat the 721...it’s probably the best value in the entire industry

As said, the 721 is probably the best deal out there but if I had the money and a place to store a 921/21phx, that would be what i would have. The 721 only leaves me a couple inches to spare in the garage but I do love it. Especially when its choppy out or the morning boat race. It's just an impressive boat and it reminds me of that all the time

I just bought my 2nd bird and I like the hull and then length of the 721 so much I actually paid to have all the 9 series upgrades and then some put into a 721. Right down to the 9 series wires and the 2nd bilge pump.

For me a 920 is just a hair short in big water and a 921 shows significant loss in performance and agility in tight places. Not the same for all but for me 21 foot is perfect and the 721 coming in at 20ft 11 inch is as close to 21 ft as phoenix makes.

There both fantastic boats, I had a 721 for my first Phoenix and now own a 921. The rear of both boats to the consoles are the same size and configuration from what I can tell. The real difference to me is the size of the front deck. The 721 was fine and I had no real complaints and you could fish 2 from it but is a little narrow. The 921 on paper is only 7" longer and 6" wider if I recall correctly. However it feels much larger I mean much much larger. I've fished 3 off of it pretty easily and so far the only downfall I've seen is it can be hard to see over when getting on plane or running slow (picture looking over the hood of a 70s Cadillac " I'd take another 921 any day of the week with a 721 as my second choice.

I'm on my 3rd 721! Great boat and the most bang for the buck. If you can afford the 921 and have the storage space, the extra room is nice, but nothing at all wrong with a 721

Definitely the 921 for the size of the front deck, but for the money its tough to beat the 721 and they are a little faster. I have a 21 PHX and would only be interested in a 22 PHX at this point. :)

My thoughts as well. 721 is the happy medium that gives you the benefits (speed and ride) that the above gives.

I've had my 721 for 6 years, love it. Handles everything I want to run in, fishes great, and the main thing to me is I feel safe fishing solo.

Like has been said, the difference between the 2 is all in the front deck. That 921 deck is huge. Besides that the 9 series will come with better wiring and more bells and whistles but you can add anything you want to a 721. My 721 had everything added except the wiring and second bilge but since I'm running 4 graphs and a 360 I did my own wiring upgrade to exactly how I want it and I'd imagine it ended up being cheaper than a factory upgrade.

At the time I was test driving, if the 921 would have fit in my garage that's what I would have bought. After having the 721 for a while I have no regrets. It's incredibly nimble in shallow tight places, stable fishing ledges with yachts and ski boats running around, fast, and handles rough water great. The 921 will be more stable and handle the rough stuff better, but some of the places I fish this time of year I couldn't get the bigger boat into and in the wind it was difficult getting in and out of the dock because it was getting pushed around.
