    1999 Mercury Optimax 200 excessive movement

    Noticed the motor moved a lot in rough water yesterday. Hydraulic steering is tight and the lower motor mounts are tight also. Most of the movement is coming from what is shown in the second picture. Is this a costly repair or something i could take on myself perhaps?

    Might find more info in the 3L forum (what your engine is) be sure to include your engine serial number too - Mercury - 3 Liter & 3 Liter High Performance
