I have read that the ideal charging current for a LiFeP04 battery would be .2C .... which is .2 times the AH of the battery .... In this case that would be 10A.

But .... As Bobcoy said, either will be fine ... and I doubt that any difference in battery life would be apparent. If time to charge isn't important to you, then I would go with the most cost effective option.

Thanks but the Ionic 4 bank charger is $369 and I only have 3 batteries to charge.
    3 bank Minn Kota Precision chargers are $278 (MK330PC - 10 amps per bank) and $209 (MK318PC - 6 amps per bank).

Received my 50ah Ionic from Lithium Hub/Drewcraft. Just using it for a house battery to power my electronics and saving my pennies for more for now. Awesome service. Placed order Monday, received Wednesday. Ionic’s app is awesome. No more guessing!

Lithium prices continue to fall and there are some good deals to be had out there. I have not updated pricing so some of them are even lower now

I was in the same boat but noticed the fuel zero max discharge is 75 amp so I ordered those. Will be late April before get to give them a good test though.

The IONIC 50ah have no issues with an 80lb Ultrex with Max amp draw, the thing to consider with 24v is will 50ah be enough for your fishing style, for many the answer is yes and then there are some who are hard core river fisherman or petal pushers that need a pair of 100s

I just picked up another set of ionics for a small flats boat. Ran the 24v 50 ah for 4 hours on an ulterra hard in high winds and used 7% 100 amp starting battery running a livescope and 12" garmin came back at 99%. Picked these up on Friday from their warehouse. Sitting in the parking lot I turned on the app to see how many batteries it would find. lol alot. I was tempted to rename them to "Carl was here". Great service from these guys as usual.

My question is: Is it better to have a charger with 6 amps per bank (to charge these lithiums slowly) or have one with 10 amps per bank (to charge these lithiums more quickly)?
    Thank you!
im using the minn Kota pc 3 bank 10amp per bank charger with my two 65ah miller tech lithium’s and AGM cranking battery. Everything is set to AGM mode and the set up works flawlessly. So glad I went with the 65ah over the 50ah batteries. Pc charger gets them to 100% every time. And to be honest, I could have went with just a two bank PC charger and a good portable AGM charger for my cranking battery. I dont keep the lithium’s plugged in, in fact I only charge then the night before I head out on the lake. And this is only every other trip as these 65ah lithium’s can’t be killed. I ended up getting a solid AGM charger, very small with permanent leads connected to the batter. This is the only charger I leave plugged in, the lithium’s stay uncharged till I’m ready to roll.

Thanks for the info! For my 2005 Bass Tracker PT185, I ended up going with:
    1) Amped Outdoors 12v 60Ah. Three batteries were $971 which included a 10% discount from BoldNorthOutdoors.com. (I can charge the batteries before every day of fishing so I don't want to pay for batteries which you can charge every other day or every third day of fishing. If I had 100Ah lithiums, then using only 10%, 20%, 30%, 40% or 50% for a full day of fishing means I should have purchased smaller batteries for a lower cost.)
    2) Minn Kota Precision 3 bank 15 amp charger with an AGM setting for $208 from HodgesMarine.com. (I have no need to charge the batteries quickly so I didn't opt for the 30 amp charger. There isn't room in the back of my boat for 3 trolling motor batteries so they're going in a front box which means I'll have a Minn Kota Digital 315d charger in the back of the boat with an Optima Blue Top 31 series for a starting battery and a Minn Kota Precision charger in the front of the boat with the 3 Amped Outdoors lithium 60Ah trolling motor batteries.)
    3) Trolling motor is Minn Kota Fortrex, 112lb thrust without a transducer for $1248 from MyGreenOutdoors.com.
Total for the trolling motor, lithiums and charger is $2,427 which makes me very happy with this setup.
No shipping charges or taxes on the batteries, charger or trolling motor.
When the Optima starting battery gives out, I may go lithium but that could be a while because the Optima that ran my 12v trolling motor was 10 years old in May/20 and still going strong. Thanks to this thread! It's been a tremendous help in learning about lithiums!

Anyone running out of juice with a 100 AH cranking / electronics battery? I have a 125 HP Mercury but run a lot of electronics ; 3 Helix 12s, MEGA 360, Ethernet box, Hydrowave, powerpoles and will probably be running MEGA live.

Through some magic, I can get the 100AH relion starting battery at no cost to me. I am currently running a Duracell 31 AGM and never run out of juice even with some 14 he fishing days. Any thoughts on if a 100 AH lithium will be enough?

I am running an Ionic 100AH Lithium for my starting battery and I have had no issues.

The lowest my cranking battery has been after a full tournament day of fishing with the live wells on auto running all day is 83%

Any chance the BT app for the ionics would be updated to show mutiple battery voltage at the same time? Everyone has an old phone laying around that would make a great permanent display for your batteries.
