Who wants lithium?

I know a guy running 3, 50 ah Ampertimes in a 36 volt troller setup without issues and has for 2 years now. Ampertime makes good batteries for the money, I think I just got a bad BMS bleeding it off or a degraded Cell in my weaker battery. Its definitely new territory for everyone, but you crack the majority of these open and they're all almost the same, not including the very few top builders. Output leads in size vary, but if it says 100amps constant, the BMS should handle right up to that before it kicks off.

Yeah, I figured I would be fine with 50ahs, but since I was saving so much doing it myself I went with 90ah cells and 100amp BMS with BT and low temp disconnect. Looking forward to not having to hook up the charger every time back to the dock.

Just bought a Tracker starting Lithium for 999 bucks. Let's see how it does. Also got the NOCO charger as it seems the PP Charge has some huge bugs in it that I don't want to deal with for that price.

Since switching to the Lowrance Ghost TM, I use 36V with 3 50AMP IONIC lithium's. I only use about 12% of the batteries a day. Awesome TM. Charging about every 4th trip.

Well numerous hours and a couple of headaches later, I finished reading this thread.

I ordered four 12v 50 ah batteries for my 206 Champion with 112 Ultrex

I will use 3 for ultrex
The 4th I will use for three Helix, Live Scope, pro air, etc

keep lead acid to crank motor until next quarter when I will get a 125 ah for cranking

...However, you cant run these batteries in a 36V config due to their high amp rating and theyre not completely sealed, so a battery box or somewhat dry area would be needed for these. You just cant submerge them.

I should have them this week and hopefully be able to just forget about them. $599 on Amazon right now and has one of the best Bluetooth apps with full energy info.

Looks as though for the same money, they have since made one that can connect enough for a 36V system.

love the Bluetooth!!!

ordered four, set the fourth up to run my electrical!

I see folks talking about ordering battery trays
i bought sone 2” wide x 30” long Velcro straps
screwed them down
placed the foam packing tray down, put in battery and cinched down
secure and shock resistant

fished all day hard on Ultrex and batteries were 62%, 67% 65%

impressed

Great report Wendy lou! I use the foam packing for my bottom mount too!! Bluetooth is just great!!
