    2000 20ss extreme wiring issue

Need some help....every time I start my boat after running it the locator at the counsel restarts. It's so annoying. Any ideas what might be going on?

Most likely problem is a weak or insufficient battery or bad corroded connections.

Most all depth finders have a low voltage alarm. Most will actually turn themself off if a particular voltage is not maintained and it sounds like this is what your experiencing when you crank your motor.

Make sure you have appropriate AWG wire going to the power supply of the unit. ALL connections need to be tight and clean. Battery needs to be healthy.
