Auto should mean it would come on by itself, but the power has to be on

I was concerned as mine is setting at the shop having work done on it and I could not remember if I pulled the plug or not, Called the shop this morning and they told me they do a plug check before it rains like yesterday and they had removed it if I hadn't.

Every one i ever put in i wired the auto side direct to the battery. Not much help if your power switch is off. Thats a dumb idea that needs to be changed.

Agree. I had 2 and both were wired through main panel. Made zero sense to me. Plus if I am leaving in the water over night, I am not leaving my main power on for multiple reasons.

I think it is a good idea to swith off bilge pumps with the power switch , if I leave the boat in the water over nite I leave the power switch on , leave all other switches off , wire the graphs to the acc switch provided ... I don't see the issue .... I rather have the ability to shut off everything including bilges when the boat is not in use rather than going to take the boat out and the battery is dead from the auto Blige being stuck on while on the trailer. Just my opinion !

Lol should they work with dead batteries also? you obviously never had a battery go dead from a bait stuck under the old style float? I have , call it what you want but the pump is automatic it just needs the power switch turned on ... just wire yours right to the battery with a fuse holder so you can pull out the fuse if need be.

If the main power switch is on but all the accessory switches are off, will anything else draw the battery down?

yes the power on indicating light. But really depends on what accessories you have and how they have them wired. Best thing to do is use a dc amp clamp see what kind of draw there is

Your ecu has a very tiny draw too so anything short of a disconnect switch wont stop your battery draw
