I honestly don't know, but I would be shocked to hear it doesn't. With all the woes from "other" brands I pray it does. I've owned both of the other brands, and took both of them back off and returned to my Fortrex 112. The ONLY thing I miss is the spot lock feature, that's it. I had excess wires hanging everywhere to make things "work," snapped foot pedal cables, fried mother boards, snapped transducer cables, buying additional gadgets and or mounts to make livescope work, not to mention I didn't realize how noisy they were until putting the Fortrex back on. Since mounting everything back on my Fortrex, it's like a new relationship, everything works great, not to mention how clean the installation looks, but if this new Garmin is everything and more, I will certainly purchase one.

I really don't think much more information will be available until iCAST 2019 from July 9 - 12th. Garmin makes fantastic products, and I'm always impressed with their innovation, quality, and customer service.

in my mind. my little theory on this.

the lvs 12 frees up a network port so trolling motor can network with all the screens and that why echo ultra dropped for all the echo guys to run trolling motor and livescope lvs12.
GPS maps need an 8000 series to go that route. or echo ultra.

. ..I'd bet this thing drops as an ultex pilot link ish style motor. I'd prefer auto deploy but would take an ultrexy model...either way take money!!

The lowrance looks a lot cleaner with the 2 piece shaft and non rotating head. This looks like my ulterra.

I, personally, could care less about what it looks like. Does it do what I need it to do? Does it have the features I want/need? Those are the questions i want answers to!

Why judge a blurry photo of a prototype? Lets wait for garmin to release imagines before start the criticism

I actually kinna like that solution. There's a limited number of ways, economically, to skin that rotating shaft/stationary cable cat. For me... better above the mount than below. But much like other things folks have at least one of - that's my opinion.

Who knows, we were told by a bbcer that is testing one that it doesn't have a cable and handle to pull it out of the water, but the one in that picture does.
