I didn't mean to be so forward. Just didn't like the vid. of very flat water and a boat sinking. Cut a darn Ranger in half and it won't sink. 2 cycle will be cheaper to install and have more punch. Peace!!!
It's all good, it rubbed me the wrong way is all. Something happens to a boat like mine and then someone comes in here telling me to buy another boat. I could nit pick problems with Ranger and other manufacturers boats but it don't concern me. Different strokes for different folks.

Delta bass fool - it sounds like you like the boat you have. Correct?
If so, then repower. Will you get your money back? Good question. Will you get your money back if bought a new boat? Good question.
If your happy, meaning- you like the hull, like the layout, the handling, etc. I'd repower.
Call whichever state/local authority, to verify which engines are legal to run the lakes your going to, to give you some more engine options.
