    New Ranger RT198P

Made the switch from glass to aluminum with a new 2019 Ranger RT198P. Added two lowrance elite 9s, BBT mount at helm, Boat Logix lock down mount at bow, Ultrex 80, 2 power pole blades, Mercury Vessel View, and tandem trailer. I’ve had the boat for 2 months now and love everything about it!

Poles were installed by me after delivery. Definitely recommend K and K customs.

    Nice rig.
The tandem trailer makes the boat look bigger

Thanks guys! Here’s some crappie I caught out of it before the poles were on it. The poles definitely help when fishing tops.

How is the speed vs the 518. Love the dark gray color. kind of split between 518 and 198

Im actually 2 MPH faster with the 198p than the 518 plus the hole shot on the 198 is so much better! It’s lightning out of the hole. It’s my favorite boat that I’ve owned between Skeeter Zx225 and 2 518s

Looks nice with that color! I'm still amazed how well they run for an aluminium boat.
I'm not missing my glass boats at all!

    I’m a previous Ranger 374v owner just got 2019 Rt198p and after
prop, motor/jp issues resolved I am happier with Rt198p.

Congrats on the new boat. I have a 2017 198P, and I couldn’t be happier. The hole shot is like 2 seconds or less to on plane it is absolutely amazing. I have very few complaints. Only issue I have is the livewell system leaking somewhere. I have no clue where nor does the dealer. Only other issue and its not a big deal is...why did ranger put the throttle in a terrible position relative to the console? If you have a floater on your keys it gets in the way lol. Enjoy your rig and put some more of those nice crappie in your livewell then the fryer. Btw, I fish Smith all the time, live in Warrior. Maybe we will see each other on the lake one day.

Maybe we will! Maybe you can get your issues resolved as well. I have a hotfoot in mine and I much prefer that over the hand throttle. I fish Smith on occasion but mainly fish the Warrior and Tombigbee river.
