I see the 29 MAxx has the 2 year warranty, but shows slightly less amps. What are you're thoughts on the everstart 29DC vs the Maxx 29DC?

    It’s the same battery.

When I bought the everstart last week I was told they are no longer going to have the 29maxx. Just what I was told.

I just purchased three new Duracell (East Penn) batteries from my local Sam's on Sunday, two 27DC $81.00 each, and a 24MSHO Starting $79.00. The warranty on each is only 12 months. We will see how long they last. These are replacing three Interstate batteries dated 06/2013 that are still running strong; however, I didn't want to take any chances with one of them going bad on the water.

My local place doesnt carry any of the 27 or 29 Maxx batteries anymore. I did a full replace this year and ended up with three Everstart 27's for the TM and one 29 for cranking. So far so good!

Why would you buy batteries that been on shelf for almost a year (8/18). Those 27's were on sale at Sam's for $61. in March.

They'll be just fine, warranty begins on date of purchase not manufacture!

Keep telling yourself that. An 8 month old battery has lost a lot of life sitting on the shelf.

And there is one great example of why people people have premature battery failure, and later blame it on the brand. Instead, they should be paying attention to buying fresh batteries that have not been on the shelf very long and have not self discharged very much.

Not "alot", probably none, but I wouldn't buy one off shelf with sticker 8 months old.

Don’t someof the battery vendors keep the charge topped off? I doubt Wal-Mart does that though.

Interstate drivers will quick charge a battery if it has been at a dealer very long. 6 months maybe but I’m not sure. They add a sticker to show it has been done.

Need to try Lithium Batteries. LithiumHub sell a Deep Cycle Battery with a Bluetooth App so you can monitor your batteries from your phone. They have a 5 year warranty. They are also maintenance free.
Your on board changing will also work with these batteries. http//lithiumhub.com
