I run them because if I have an issue, I pop into walmart and I have a replacement (after the typical bullshit they put you through with the load testing)

I've used Everstart Maxx 29DC'S for around 20 years, and love them. I EASILY get 5 years out of them. I decided to try the Duracell's when Sam's Club had them on sale last month for $79. I've heard alot of good things about the Duracells.
No it is not. JCI doesn’t make flooded cells in 31. The Duracell’s are East Penn batteries and are only 185 minute RC. Half the warranty and much lower capacity than the MAXX 29. Hell of a deal if you like pissing money away.

It is 210 according to the manufacturer, but Walmart labels it 205

The web page is wrong. The battery is over 200RC.

Everstart Maxx 29DC RC is 210 at "23 amps"
Duracell 29DC RC is 185 at "25 amps", but is 225 at "23 amps"
...................SO! The Duracell has more reserve capacity. Everstart likes to be a little deceiving with their "reserve capacity" numbers by testing it at 23 amps, not 25 amps like most test theirs at!

Not correct. JCI batteries are RC tested at 25A as is the industry standard.

No, it does not. 185 minutes at 25A for the Duracell and 205 at 25A for the Everstart. 205 is more than 185.

OP are you getting the Everstart MAXX or the regular Everstart? I have the Maxx 29 for my 24V TM and they work great but I thought I heard chatter that they are no longer available but that might not be true.

I bought three, twice more or less. I replaced the first three at the same time. The cranking battery on the second set lasted four years. The trolling motor batteries are going on their sixth and never let me down fishing tidal water. Don't remember how long they lasted the first time but was obviously pleased enough to buy a second set. I do plan on replacing the trolling motor batteries this summer.

I’d take the regular back and find another maxx at another Wal-Mart if this one does not have the maxx.

Great batteries. I have 3 for my ultrex. I’ve gone 4 days without a charge fishing 4-6 hrs a day on vacation (boat was docked at rental and power cords wouldn’t reach from house to boat). Wouldn’t recommend doing that, but they held up. I normally use my TM a lot to motor from spot to spot in st Clair, to hold in the current of the st Clair or Detroit rivers, etc and at the end of a long day, those batteries still have a ton left. Typically recharg in under an hour.
