Is the crappie spawn over at LOZ

I fished out of Big buffalo cove (MM72) last Saturday. The water was brown! We brought in 15 keepers between 3 of us. One or two of those fish still had viable looking eggs, the rest looked like they were done attempting to spawn. All of the keepers were caught where we'd expect to find them in the summer or on the way there. I did catch a bunch of little ones way up in the shallows, but no keepers there.

So for the very upper osage, I'd say it's most likely winding down or done. I can't speak for lower portions of the lake.

On April 22, I had an 82 fish day fishing spawning fish down low. On May6 I made essentially the same milk run expanding a little with the water up 2 feet. I caught 24. It’s not “done” but the peak of the shallow spawn bite is 3 weeks behind us.

Not a pro but would so it's not over, always some late spawners in all fish.
