    Question Power Pole Maintenance

Can someone refresh my memory on what to do for maintenance on my 8' blades? I think it might be time to do a little bolt tightening. If I recall you want to leave the pivot bolts relatively loose, so the bottom of the bolt is just through the nut and then tighten the others carefully?

Still very happy with my poles from K&K Kustomz by the way!

    Thanks guys

The only two bolts on EVERY POWER-POLE ANCHOR that need to be tightened are the lower two pivot bolts for each u-channel. Every other bolt on the system should be flush with the lock nut, any tighter and it could hinder operation. In the owners guide it states that these bolts should be CHECKED every 100 cycles of the anchor, for safe measure. Keeping these tight will greatly extend the length of your bushing life. The bushings will last for the life of the unit if these two lower bolts are kept tight.

It is also good practice to periodically check the bolts that assemble the mounting brackets and whatever bolts hold it to the jack plate or its mounting surface. We also recommend changing your green marine fluid every year to every other year DEPENDING ON USE.

We appreciate your business and glad your happy with your Poles!
