    Impressive boat

I've had 3 Bassports and all 3 have their own personality. I've had the fastest holeshot boat of the 3 with a 250 Pro XS, the most agile and top end with a Sport 250, but this current boat is just a workhorse. It is the only one I've had with a 300 on it. Yesterday I had my family and grandkids over and we decided to do some fishing and running around. I had 4 grown adults in the boat. Well over 800 pounds of human weight, about all my tackle in the boat, half a tank of fuel, and I ran it upstream on the TN with ease at 80 with plenty left in it should I have wanted to go there. I was at 6100 rpm's on a 27 Hydro QIV. My 28 or 29 may have been slower out of the hole but the top end would have been there for sure. I had almost 30 psi water pressure and the jack was down due to some waves on the river. I don't know of any other boat brand out there that could have done that with a 300. With good water and favorable conditions I think I could have ran it up to 86-88 easily. I wouldn't do that with that many people in the boat but knowing you could is pretty awesome. Work horse describes it pretty well.

80+ on the water anywhere is begging for trouble. You are only an instant from it but you won’t know it.
why risk your life let alone family and friends?

    just my opinion.

I’d venture to bet that owners of these rigs are more likely to use their safety equipment such as lifejackets and kill switches and maintain their gear more meticulously. Making them much safer boaters than the average boater

News reports and YouTube would disagree.

80 on the water for some of us is like 40 for others. If you don't know how to drive a high performance boat, don't know how to check your boat's mechanical systems properly, and don't know how to read the water conditions you shouldn't drive 80 I agree. I am entitled to my opinion as you say my friend and you are entitled to yours.

I've always been told the jealously is a terrible thing.
Guess a few post on this just proved it is so.

Lee, I don't know if it is jealousy or if some guys are scared more than others. Fear for some is a good thing. Don't do it if you can't handle it. Some just don't understand that we don't buy Allison boats to poke around in.
