Waters up! Where to fish this weekend?

Pictures of Grand do not look good. Checked water levels for all my favorites and all are up some 3-5 feet so far. Pine Creek up to 17-20. So it may be lower end of Tenkiller, dripping springs, or Skiatook.

Check out one of the local city lakes, Claremore or Bixhoma.

I would be over at Oolagah fishing the flooded trees and grass on the east side of the lake about a mile south of the bridge for channels and big blues.

    Catfishing anywhere should be good.
Local small lakes is a good idea.
    bixhoma is motorless, correct?
i am thinking lower Tenkiller Saturday and maybe Tenkiller Sunday am or dripping springs.
Claremore gets full quick and I have not fished anything but the crappie dock in winter.
ponds would be the best but I don’t have any!

Unless they have changed it, and it's been a while since Iv'e been on Bixhoma it's not motorless but no wake only on the entire lake, no bigger than it is you can just drop the trolling motor and fish the entire lake without firing up the big motor except to load up. My biggest bass came from that lake, I ought to get back on it soon.

I’m at chicken creek on Tenkiller this weekend. Water is up but ramps are open. I had to move my camper last night before we went to bed bc we were camped right next to the water.

That should put the water up in the buckbrush then, the flipping bite should be on.

Pretty part of the lake down low. We put in at Burnt cabin. Lake came up 2 ft from 9:00 to 5:30. Some big cats up in the buck brush but we didn’t find any bass there. Wefished hard and Tried it all except way out and deep. Definitely thinking about gold tomorrow. It should have been a great day.
highlight of the day was catfish taco’s at the marina at burnt cabin. Dylan loved their Chicken wings. Very nice marina.

saw the weigh in gathering at chicken creek. I should have beached and walked up to see what a bass looks like.

Tenkiller was tough for me too this weekend. I didn’t fish hard since I had my 5 year old with me but I didn’t get bit in the flooded buckbrush like I expected to.

Nope were fishing on the 18th this month,a week early because of the holiday. Saturday is oil change and tire rotation for the truck, and some yard work. Sunday is spending the day at my moms for mothers day.

Well darn....been in Ridgefield Washington for month so I need some time on that mud hole to get lined back out. I'll send you pics and rub it in if I go.

Going there or Broken Bow haven't decided yet.
