    Prop gurus step on in.

I have a 26 Pro max with 2 open holes and 2 closed. I can get out of the hole with a full tank of gas and live wells full and 2 guys and a big tourney load. It comes out of the hole pretty good. A little spin right before break over. It is not a rocket out of the hole but it isn't a dog either. My question is... Do you think I could be able to get out of the hole with a 27 if all holes were open?

I should have elaborated on what I am trying to accomplish. I love the Pro Max prop. Mid range, handling are great. The only negative is that I lost 2-3 MPH on top end. Everything else about the Pro Max is great. So I am wondering if I can make a 27 Pro Max come out of the hole and maybe gain my MPH back.

i figure youll get your top end back going to a 27. And you can tune your holeshot with the vents to get your holeshot where you need it. You can always put 4 more vents in and plug a couple if needed

You will gain some topend, but will loose some of that great midrange . I'd personally open up all the holes on your prop now to get a idea how it will work.

Also just a fyi, A 27 promax is just a 26 with cup added. 29 is a 28 with cup added etc....

I would personally be looking for a Performer ET 4, It will do everything better then the promax

    This is a Vid of a 21xdc with a 250XS with a 30 performer 4 ET (1.75 gears)

    I think a 27P Promax is a 28 in it's original casting. I have owned a few 27 and 28P. Still run a 28.

Actually 21XDC, now that i think of it your right. I got it backwards. I remember now because my 29 promax was just a 30 with cup removed.

    No, it's a 26. A 25 would be a 26 pitched down. They only cast even pitches.

I think a 28 pitch down to 27 is the way to go I sent my 28 bravo to mark had him take it down it’s the best in my opinion for a 21x with 250 and 1:62.
