    Huckabee 12' Slab Swinger

Looking at purchasing a couple of slab swingers and was wondering if they are worth the hype? I've heard a lot of good things about them but struggling to find one to put my hands on.

I see nothing but excellent reviews on this specific rod. I also see a lot of tackle shops selling out of them as fast as they can get them.

I figured with all the positive feedback I would like them. Jury is still out on a 12' pole for me but with livescope I can see the value. I went ahead and got a couple and if for some reason I don't like them they shouldn't be hard to part with.

I dont think you would have any issues moving them if you decide you were not happy. I can barely stand to fish with a 10 ft rod and that doesnt happen very often so 12 is out of question for me. However I do know there is a benefit to the longer rods on certain occasions.

You won’t need a net any more. Just swing em in.

One the reasons I don't care for long rods. Seen too many good fish fall off due to trying to lift and swing a fish in the boat. I have some long rods and a long handled net, but they mostly stay in the shop.

I have some 10 footers but the majority of the time I have a 7 footer in my hand on the boat. I do think I will pick up an 8 foot ACC or the 8 ft Prim8 huckabee soon. I think the 8 might have a purpose for me anyways.
