    1993 Pro V 200 Head gasket issues

    HydroTech Phase II since new and they did a rebuild about 6 years ago added carbon fiber reeds at that time.

    I’ve blown now 3 head gaskets in about the past 4 years. Why?

    my local mechanic chalked the first two as the aftermarket gasket used during the rebuild but now they are both Yamaha gaskets and I just blew another. Ideas?

    I wouldn't think Hydrotech would use aftermarket gaskets on a rebuild. Dont know maybe one of the hydro techs crew will be along and help you. Somethings not right for sure sorry about your problems

    Did the heads get re-torqued after running for a few hours?
