    1989 Evinrude E140TLCEB 140hp Water Pressure Guage

I've seen many posts where people show their water pressure. So my question is are they necessary? My boat / engine didn't come with a guage and didn't know if there was a benefit to installing one.

Always good to know if your water pressure is good....helps to let you know if the impeller is wearing and if you are trying to get the most out of a rig it lets you know if you've raised it too high......

Are they difficult to install? I do have a spot to mount the gauge, but I'm not entirely sure where to hook it up on my motor.

The fitting (90* elbow) will attach to the starboard side of the adapter plate. You'll need to remove the Allen head plug and install the elbow in its place, then run the hose to the console.

I see a 90 degree fitting screwed into the adapter plate that has a hose running to the control valve. Is that the right line?
