    2019 Lake Minnetonka Crappie Contest

I know it is a bass forum, but whose doing the crappie contest this weekend? At least, as of now, the weather looks quite nice!

Wish I could. I've had a nice crappie season already. Wife's weekend to work though so I'm with the baby all weekend. Oh well, I need to wire my new graphs anyway. Should be a beautiful day.

Was a great day out today, perfect weather.

Hit what we nicknamed Crappie Cove at 6am, not another boat in sight. And it was non-stop activity until we left around 10am to head to Fletcher's to drop a few off for weigh in. Another boat showed up around 7am and they were pulling them in non-stop too. Pulled a couple 1 pounders of out there, and in the end we kept about 24 from the spot (3 of us on the boat). Fishing buddy and I have a good deal: He cleans all the fish, I clean the boat :)

Winning fish was 1 pound, 14 ounces.

All in all a great day. Been a great crappie season so far on Minnetonka.

Sounds like fun. Will gladly put the bass rod down for a good crappie bite

I fished it - it was fun. It made me wonder why they killed all the big fish though. What a shame.
