Congrats on your new boat! They’re a great fishing platform. I strongly dislike fishing from the back of any boat but I fish out of the back of Hez’s boat and it’s a rock solid fishing machine

That boat looks to have been taken care of very well! I’d say you got an awesome rig!

Twitch, I didn't realize that you had a polyflake hull. My hull is a solid (faded) gray. Easy to repair, but yours looks nice!!!

And I like that bbc sticker on your trailer lol

If you get into a functioning reliable good looking bass boat for $5500, you have scored.

I still have the 300 series disease. I have come back to this thread everyday to see these old classics and smile. I'm inspired to keep my old gal and enjoy her for many more years as I know many others will too. IMO, we have the rigs that revolutionized the bass boat industry. Funny, as I'm typing this I see Hank Parker in his 374 teaching his viewers how to escape a stump field in 18 inches of water.

I love mine. I know its an old thread, but we all go back and read some of them at times right? I always loved the 300 series back in the day but could not afford one. Finally last year I found a 89 374V with Johnson GT 175 and I could not be more happy. Sure you have to work through some issues at times but that all part of the fun.

Congrats on your rig. 300 series were the best hulls ever made. Hell of a deal. I would have jumped all over that as well. Enjoy.

Had several 300”s , 400”s and now a 518. The look of a 300 series still gets me thinking when I could only dream. The original ranger look. Wish they would bring some back

Wouldn’t that be awesome? Market it as a weekend/club-level kind of boat. Offer it in just a few basic color options package rigged with 150’s. Just a basic boat, motor, trailer, troll motor package. You could add your electronics , power poles, etc…as the budget allows. I bet these would sell especially if at a better price point in today’s market.

I've got a 1986 Ranger 371V with a 1986 Johnson GT 150hp. This thang is immaculate. All original. I'm the 2nd owner. Wife wants a bigger boat. So this just might be on the market. I just haven't made up my mind. IMG_20220530_195047039_HDR.jpg

    Had a 373 and now a 354....

Can't go wrong with a 3 series Ranger as long as it is solid structurally!!!

Nice boats. It does bring back ,some yesterday years for me.
My fishing buddy trade his Winner boat. For a 361 boat back in the day.
Loved the way they looked. With the side stripes. Couldn't wait to watch the Bass Master on TNN back in the day and get there magazine to look at the boats and new stuff the pros ,was set up with.

The only downside to the 300 series today is the rod box is too short. Otherwise, I love those old boats.

I needed to correct my typo, I have a 1986 373V Ranger. I fat fingered and typed 371V. Just wanted to make it right.

I had a 371 Ranger with a 150 on it, loved that rig. It’s a sharp boat, fishes well, and very well built. Looks to me that you did good, enjoy it.
