    Gambler Outlaw - Accessory Upgrades

I thought I would put an update on some accessories I just got installed on my 2000 Gambler Outlaw. I had the 80 lb Fortrex and switched to the 80 lb Ultrex with a 45" shaft. At first I was a little concerned about the foot fitting but it fits perfectly. I can say this trolling motor is worth every penny! I also moved my Humminbird 999 GPS to the bow on its ram mount. At the console we removed the 999 and installed a Humminbird Solix 10, instead of a ram mount we used a 1/2" wire rope clip to install it on the railing, below are two pics of the install. Overall the removal and install of the Ultrex was VERY easy, both use the same holes for mounting and the access to the screws was not bad at all, took about 2 hours by myself. Hope this helps! If anyone has any questions, let me know!

    Thanks,
    DTS

Also, I didn't loose any speed, albeit the ultrex is heavier than the fortrex.

Thanks! Loving the ultrex, if anyone is deciding between poles or an ultrex, I’d go ultrex! I use the ultrex 3 to 1 vs poles.
