The back to back deal was the reason we decided to give it a try. Had a fun trip, caught some fish and ready to head back next Wednesday.

Hope you bust their azz, bring back some cash from the heathens in the east. And stay away from the wimmins of the stump, they have magical powers

All I heard was how good the Stump was, it was probably the sorriest shit I’ve ate. Ribeye was barley cooked at all, red mush inside and the baked tater wasn’t warm enough to melt the butter. We didn’t go back, country club was average at best but we did eat at a burger joint that was really good. We had an 18lb day and didn’t beat them up, finally figured out a few things and if they are still there next week we could do really well. The lake fishes different than the lakes around here so it was a learning curve for both of us, looking forward to going back. I will say that area is beautiful country, saw some eagles so that made the trip even better.

The eagles are cool, tia juanita fish camp in jasper is ok, stump is for beer, anything else risky. Also a decent Mexican joint, Martins, in jasper. You ain't in a hot bed for fine food.

Yeah, last breakfast I had at the Stump with ChampioNman, he had his pancakes rare. Looked good on the outside ... cut into them and batter ran out

We ate at tia Juanita’s one night and it wasn’t bad. We are going to try that Mexican food joint we we get back on Wednesday. You are correct about the food situation over there, not very good places to eat. Donut shop by the hotel had some damn good boudin kolaches for breakfast but will clean out your innards while you on the water!

I miss the catfish cabin that was where tia juanita is. A bowl of green tomato relish or 2 would clean out whatever needs cleaning out. Get gas in afternoon cause morning is a chit show at the station by stump, also have 2 stoke oil, I had to drive to jasper one morning cause none of the dip chits at the lake seem to stock that.

I will for sure be gassed up the nights before, and won’t need to hit the store for any reason. Luckily I have the new Merc so buying oil is not needed!
