    G3 trolling motor install

    Trying to install minn Kota powerdrive v2. Any tips on how to get the nuts on the bolts that far up in the front? Thx

    The front panel needs to come off. There's 5 screws. You should be able to get the wrench up there once you pull that panel off. Should only have to mount 4 bolts for the TM. You may not be able to reach the front two.

    Ah thoughts on how to get the washer on above the nut? I can only reach one bolt by hand

    There are nuts that have integral washers. Absent that, I have hot-glued a washer on a nut to make a single unit. Hope that helps.

    I have a 1756 sc and just removed the trolling motor plug and reached my arm far in as i could to get them on. Had to hold one nut with a pair of channel locks and just balance a washer on top of the nut then reach my other hand around the top and screw it down with a screw driver to get it started. It was a bit of a pain

    Double sided tape, or hot melt glue for your washer. Some guys say they just put some grease on it and the washer sticks enough. I've never done the grease trick/
