I have been very happy with my RMP screen protectors on my helix 12 and 10. Cleaning the screen is a snap too.

The brightness of a solix 15 in the dash is a problem when trying to run at night. It needs another step or 2 of dimness, to be less blinding. Maybe an anti-glare screen protector will help.

Doubt it would dim the screen. Night mode or the screen color with the black water is what you should try. Bob

Searching for a decent protector for a Bird 997 and 998. Seems all are either mirror shiny or the "anti-glare" matt finish seems hazy.

Just read this on graph glass. Hard to believe. How could you NOT do these two things?

I posted a post with the question about who has the best screen protector. I didn’t get a lot of response, I did see this post as well. I broke down and bought the graph glass for my brand new helix 12 and 9 units. Had to make sure the 9 was for the g3n. I can’t say this in any other way and I don’t know why no one has said this before (maybe they have) DO NOT BUY THESE.... THEY DO NOT FIT... FIND SOMETHING ELSE... IF YOUR IDEA OF A GOOD FIT, IS PUTTING A SQUARE SCREEN PROTECTOR ON A SREEN THAT HAS CURVED SIDES... THEN YOU HAVE ISSUES... OH, AND THEY COST 50+/- EACH... WTF...

I just put 4 non glare Graph Glass on my 12"Solix's. Are they perfectly square? No they are not. Does it affect the performance? No it does not. For years my graphs never had any protection and they were a pain to clean. I have had these on my boat now for three weeks and they work fantastic at shedding water off the screen and these work great at keeping any glare to a minimum. Any future graphs will be getting these ASAP.

I’m sure they fit great on the solix, it has a square screen. The helix screens are not square, if you lay the protector on the screen at the center of the graph on each side there is a 1/4” of screen exposed and unprotected.

A SOLIX has the same display shape as all the Helix units----16:9 ratio

The only Humminbird displays that had square displays were the 500 and 700 series with the same vertical and horizontal pixel counts like 640 X 640.

The vertical edges on the Helix display covers are curved and stop at the part of the case that has the buttons. The actual display is smaller than the cover, sort of like a 1" edge around the display.

The vertical edges on the SOLIX display covers are straight, but the right side includes the buttons. To completely protect the cover would involve making holes in the "protector" for the buttons. The actual display is also smaller than the cover.

Wanye, I sent you an email can you post the pic. The edges being straight and not curved is my issue and it having so much gap on the edges. There is a 1/8” gap around the whole thing and more at the middle of the display. I should have used the term fitted, THese are not fitted in any way SHAPE or form. I’m going to send you another one where I slid the protector to lineup the corner with the bottom right side can you also post it, Thanks

If anyone is interested here is the RMP glass screen protector on my Helix 9. The water spots wipe off with a microfiber cloth that I keep up front and do not spot as bad as the naked screen.

    I have a Solix 12 and 15 both are gen 2's.

Thinking about the "Graph Glass", "Anti Glare vs Clear" series,

I thought about doing the "Anti Glare" on the bow where I will be fishing the most from and the "Clear" from the helm where I'm in the hunt and find mode. OR does the two different view types really matter that much for those of you that have them?

Put "Anti-Glare" Graph Glass on a 9 and a 12 at the bow and on a 12 at the console. Absolutely love them. Stay way cleaner and much easier to see in the sun. Not perfect but 1000x better than without.

I put the Anti-Glare at the helm because I like to angle my graph at the console up a bit so the person fishing at the back of the boat can see the graph easier. Before the Anti-Glare GraphGlass I had to reposition it back down before running again because it would catch a glare from the sun. With the Anti-Glare I can see it just fine without having to move it.

At the bow I have anti glare on my solix 12 and regular on my solix 15. The difference is not that significant - both work great and I'm still not sure which I like better. The water beads up quickly on both but it flies off the regular version which I really like and both clean much easier now. No problem with glare on either.
