Has anyone found a solution to stop the whistling sound from the Talons?
If you’re talking about when going down the lake in the wind I read a post about this last spring, maybe search it, there’s some kind of caps or something minn Kota sells to stop this... just can’t remember the specifics.
Yea, when going down the lake it's a very annoying screaming sound. Going to see what Minn Kota has to offer............
Are your talons straight with the center line of the hull or at a slight angle?

Contact Minn Kota and request they send you additional sections of the plastic pieces that go into the channels. Cover as much as the channels as you can with them. That eliminated mine from whistling. And it's far from "a little annoying".
Louder then the Ultrex whistling in the wind?

Well for some reason my Ultrex is quite, but let me just say the whistling sound is unbelievable load, it really more like a scream!Originally Posted by BMCD
I have them straight with the hull, the vertical is slightly off and i'm in the last hole on the bracket, so nothing i can do about that. I have 6 of the plastic strips coming and will see if that solves the problem. I'm going to run some tape to cover up the tracts today and go run it tomorrow to see if that solves the issue, I'll let you know how it goes....
They are black plastic strips that came with the Talon. They go inside the channels. Just request more from Minn Kota tech support and close off as much of the channel with the strips as you can.

Try covering the caps with a plastic bag and tape it tight to cover the bottom gaps to the talon body.
If it still whistles, tape the side rail slots.
Sooner or later you will isolate isolate the culprit.
