Nicholas Marks is the best I have ever heard. Seen him at Disney Springs several times.

Buckethead, Jeffrey Fisher (The Arbitrary) and Sarah Longfield are some names you don't often see mentioned.

One I haven't seen mentioned, Jerry Reed, was no slouch.
    Who controls John Gill?

If you know Buckethead...you know he's a good dude.

    A very cool video!

Most underrated guitarist? That's easy. Prince. Until seeing this, I had never even thought of him as a guitarist.

Gives me chills every time I watch it.

Even though he's generally rated pretty decent, I always believe he's been underrated - Marty Friedman

John Petrucci or Bumblefoot. Both are really good. Not really sure where they fit on the all time greats or even make the list but eight now, they rock.

GNR have had some great guitar players.

Depends on your definition of 'best'. Being good at one style (country, rock, etc.),
might not even qualify to be 'in the running' for the purist.
Perhaps amidst the myriad of 'unknown' studio guitar players,
we may find this mythical 'best guitarist'.
I loved Jimi Hendrix and Prince played an astonishing number of musical instruments well.
(But, no, Clapton never said - "ask Prince".)

Exactly. Check out Tim Pierce on Youtube. Amazing player. He can play anything. Session guitarist for many. You've probably heard him and didn't know it.
