With the carb motors, rule of thumb for max consumption rate was to figure 10% of rated horsepower. So 10% of 150 hp = 15. That would be the estimate of gallons per hour burned at wide open throttle.

Thank you Nightmare. I found a link and looked at it late last night about the DT150S BASS and it said maximum fuel consumpsion is about 19+ gph. I highlighted the area in red that specifies the gph in red.

I know that the 10 Micron Yamaha fuel water separators (part #: MAR-FUELF-IL-TR) are rated for 90gph.

Thank you. That is only the filter number. I am needing the whole water separator assembly with filter and body for fuel lines to connect in and out of.

Thank you, looks like it gets raving reviews being stainless steel housing. It comes with the fuel line fittings and what hose size do they fit if so?
I don't like how it does not have a base that allows you to see any water or a port on the bottom to drain off any water accumulated at the bottom.
Other thing I could not see is the 90 gph flow rate.

I just uploaded a video of the primer bulb on my boat. Do ya'll think I need a new primer bulb?

I just placed an order for the Yamaha water separator filter kit with 2x 1/4” NPT thread and 3/8” barbs and I also purchased a 3/8” barbed check valve. To keep fuel from flowing backwards to be installed prior to the primer bulb. Hopefully the check valve does not restrict the fuel flow.

The Yamaha Filter Kit arrived today. It's a lot bigger and heavier than I had imagined.

Hey all those that suggested the Yamaha filter kit. Is it safe to use regular white teflon tape on the brass fittings threads or do I need a special fuel grade threading compound? Sorry if This has already been answered. I'm working on the boat trying to get as much done before dusk and don't have time to read every post atm to see if that has already been answered.

I don't recall special "fuel-grade" Teflon tape back in my motorhead days.
Think that's what I used when installing my owner separator.
I did some research this morning and am thinking of using some Permatex 80019 Aviation Form-A-Gasket No. 3 Sealant, 4 oz.
Any thoughts on this stuff for use as a fuel line barb thread sealant?

Suggested Applications: Close-fitting machined surfaces, sealing hoses, solid gaskets
Not an application for threads. A hose barb is a pretty efficient connection - never had one leak. The brass threaded fittings are tapered and designed to seal. If anything - stick with the tape on the threads.
This page is why I asked about that gasket sealant.

I understand that. As they point out, tape can enter the system if it separates from the application. That's why one takes care to avoid having the tape wrapped over the ends of the threads - because as the taped connection is tightened together, tape extending past the engaged threads can be sheared off and pass into the fuel flow. There are right and wrong ways of applying any product. Take note that the "article" you refer to is propagated by a vendor of product that they are selling. Would they lie? Not saying that. Would they steer you in the direction they would prefer you go (buy)? No hesitation.....
I'm not concerned what way you choose. Just explaining what has worked for me. Good questions, though. Always good to do it the best way the first time!
Good luck with your project.
Thanks again Nightmare. I'll take the money I would have spent on the thread compound/gasket sealer and put it towards a bottle of Mend-it plastic bait glue. +1
I used the white Teflon tape as I normally would. Just making sure I won't have any issues with gas melting the teflon tape later on down the road and causing a leak at the most inopportune moment.
