    1996 Mercury 200efi sn#0G325309

Having a problem with it idling. On the way back to a weigh in lake was terribly rough, pulled up to the ramp and it shut off shut off. Fired it back up and same thing. So after weigh in I started it back up and it was still struggling idling got it up on in plane and ran like normal. Back to the dock after a few min ride and still not wanting to idle. Any clues as to where I can start with diagnosing the problem.

Chipped Reed or Reeds is my guess. Got the same motor and it was was doing the same thing. Mine also had a leaking head gasket.
