Thumbs Up Second biggest bass I've ever caught, so close to a PB

Already posted a pic of the bass here: http://www.bbcboards.net/showthread....076&highlight= but this is the video of it.

6 lbs 2 oz, was really hopeful it was going to break my personal best 6 lbs 4 oz, but hey, I'll still take it. Was fishing a kettle pond on the tail end of a decent stretch of weather and the bass were just starting to warm up. The bite is going to really go off up here in the next week or two, but the big gals have already started.

Heck yea! It is a fact, when you get to fish for a few consecutive days, you get good at fishing. Very nice.

lol it certainly helped put the pattern together to find this one. Went to this same pond one week prior to catching this giant. Felt we didn't cover this specific area well enough based on water temps and conditions. Then based on everything we saw from the other two ponds on this weekend, that's what really led me to going back here. I knew it had big fish, and I felt this exact area was going to hold them. As I'm sure EVERYONE here feels, it's so incredibly satisfying to put all the pieces of the puzzle together to land a big fish. Doesn't happen often for me!

You’re right, it doesn’t happen often for me but I actually feel like I know what I’m doing when they accidentally bite exactly how I have it planned! Congrats on your 2nd biggest bass!
