    Mercury Trim\Tilt

I have a small 45hp Mercury tiller. The issues is I use the trim to raise or lower the engine, I can hear the trim motor running but the engine does not budge. I am going to change the fluid but was wondering if there is something else I can check.

I am not sure if the smaller horse power motors work the same way as the bigger ones or not. Check and see if it has the manual release valve screw on one of the trim cylinders. If it does it may have vibrated loose. If it did, it will not allow the pressure to build up correctly.
